A Slew of New OSB Offerings
This month, we wanted to mention OneStopBuy.com's Company Weblog (blog.OneStopBuy.com) for those who didn't already know about it. This is the first of a number of additions to the site this year.
Not only can our customers and others comment there, but the blog also allows posting of your own entries. You can simply choose a manufacturer and product category to place your topic in the correct place. This is a simple and effective way for us to have a relevant conversation, about new products, common technical support questions we receive, your compliments and critiques, and even a place to joke about company happenings. OneStopBuy invites everyone in the blogosphere to contribute, so we can keep in touch with you in a fresh and genuine way.
You’ll also find that, recently, we’ve acquired three more manufacturers and suppliers that we carry: Bussmann Fuses, Omni Cable and PowerBridge by HD-Products, Inc. We are excited about our new distributorship for these companies, and earnestly hope that it will provide our customers with even more direct and concise access to products. This has been and will continue to be the OneStopBuy way - guaranteed!
After reading through this month's issue, we ask that you might take a moment to complete our brief survey. Your answers will be used to help us give attention to your own interests in future newsletter issues.
Industrial Product Focus
Pin and Sleeve
When you’re having to work with a grimy, humid, or corrosion-prone environment, what sorts of Pin and Sleeve devices should you be using? There can only be one choice if you want your equipment to last.
Leviton North American-Rated Pin and Sleeve devices have long been a prime choice for superior connection and protection in a range of industrial environments. Being a watertight line, they provide an effective guard against corrosion, moisture, and other commonalities
that can eat away at connections. Pin and Sleeve Plugs and Connectors are rated for use in 20 Amp, 30 Amp, 60 Amp, and 100 Amp applications.
With so many variations out on the market for these products, you should always be sure to choose the ones that best fit your specific needs. Leviton Pin and Sleeves in particular are compliant with International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) 309 standards. They have also been tested by Underwriters Laboratory (UL) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), meeting UL listings 1682 and 1686, as well as CSA Standard C22.2 number 182.1. There is also a choice between watertight and splash-proof products. The two differ in price, of course, with watertight devices being slightly more expensive because they offer complete protection in wet environments.
Leviton also specializes in Mechanical Interlock receptacles. These are related to Pin and Sleeve, but are instead meant to prevent plugs from being accidentally removed from receptacles. PowerSwitch Mechanical Interlocks have a special switch that can’t be set to the ON position until an IEC compatible plug is fully inserted, and a plug cannot be removed until the Mechanical Interlock switch is in the OFF position. There is a model with internal fusing and one without; fused interlocks offer additional protection from overloads while the latter doesn’t.
Pin and Sleeve devices are just a smart investment overall. They have a rugged build, with large solid brass terminal screws and a dependable construction for long life, reliable electrical contact, maximum conductivity, and corrosion resistance. The connections are always flawless, too, with multiple contact points assuring a perfect fit with every use. The next time you need to work with electrical equipment in any extreme, corrosive, or wet environment, don’t hesitate to make Leviton Pin and Sleeve devices your weapon of choice. You’ll find an immediate improvement in the protection and reliability of electrical connections.

Since expanding their line of Rhino-Hide 49 Series devices, Leviton has provided an enormously important product for use in job demands beyond what we’ve already mentioned. Rhino-Hide devices, unlike Pin and Sleeve, are made for power generation needs and applications like land-based and off-shore oil drilling rigs. The line consists of male and female plugs, connectors, receptacles, insulators and contacts, and accessory products such as clevis pins, receptacle castings, dust cover caps, gaskets and couplers.
These are rugged, high-amperage, single-pole connectors available in up to 10 colors, including purple and gray and have added color-coded panel mount receptacle housings. Because they are color-coded, this makes for faster, more accurate assembly of the devices and improves site safety. Mating connectors and receptacles by color also
minimizes errors due to mis-wiring and saves time during assembly and troubleshooting. On dusty and dirty land-based oil rigs, this gives someone a way to quickly identify circuit and phase connections. In terms of continuous power, these devices deliver up to 1,135 Amps and 1,000 Volts of AC or DC power. They accept cable sizes between 313 MCM and 777 MCM to provide secure connections with high-amperage equipment. In addition, crimp-style terminations are featured on connectors, making termination secure as well.
How about their durability? Rhino-Hide are, appropriate to their name, some of the toughest devices around. They have a construction of UV, ozone, and thermal-resistant Santoprene™ TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate). Rhino-Hide connector housings maintain color and flexibility longer than traditional neoprene housings. As a result, you’ll get a much longer life out of Leviton Rhino-Hide.
This entire line is a highlight of Leviton's commitment to expand its industrial products with the most complete offering and provide customers with high quality products that will be effective even in the harshest applications. Rhino-Hide products are built with UL Recognized components and are covered by Leviton's Limited Two-Year Warranty.

The latest in Leviton receptacles is a revolutionary design called the Lev-Lok Modular Receptacle System. It consists of a wiring module (locking connector with leads) and a rugged duplex receptacle with solid brass locking connection pins. Here, finally, is a surefire way to address reliability and performance concerns without sacrificing your need for a fast, easy installation. Lev-Lok is ideal for both retrofit and new construction in offices, universities, hospitals, and hotels.
In just two simple steps, you can connect the wiring modules - which will have leads running to it beforehand - to any Lev-Lok equipped receptacle. Simply place the wiring module over the receptacle’s connection pins and then twist the module clockwise to lock it in place. Are you replacing a receptacle instead? It’s just as easy. All you need to do is reverse the same two steps: turn the module counter-clockwise to unlock and then remove it.
What this gives you is an incredible new connection system, which locks and latches a wiring module to the receptacle. That provides double the security without adding a barrage of extra installation steps. The wiring module also comes with a factory-installed circuit ID label. Electricians can save a step by labeling device locations during any rough-in. The receptacles themselves are industrial, featuring a single-piece, brass wrap-around mounting strap. They have integral ground contacts for continuous conductivity and a secure ground path.

Purchasing With PayPal
There’s a lot to be said for easy online transactions. These days, it’s common enough that most payments and money transfers can be made with no hassle. PayPal is one such online method and we know many of our customers have PayPal accounts. Some OSB customers don’t realize, however, that this is a payment option OneStopBuy does have.
Here’s all you need to do to use PayPal on an order:
1. Go through the normal process of creating an order
2. Choose PayPal as your payment option.
At the bottom of the final checkout screen you will see 3 large boxes. The first box is the box where you would put in a Credit Card number, the second offers the option of Google Checkout, and the third box is where you choose PayPal. Just click on the PayPal symbol and follow the instructions to complete the checkout process.
